DOHC ZC... turbo? what would you do?
the question is too broad, people always will have different opinions and who is to say which bias is correct?
i would say its worth it, but it depends what you classify as "worth it"

i agree with turbo dan my plans are to boost my dohc zc in the next 4 months if you need anything let me know good prices on intercoolers and everything you need just let me know
all i need to say is Liam (www.thezcr.com) is my hero and my CRX will have an engine just like his
But thats on the 3 year plan

Liam made a 400+ HP DOHC ZC for less than $6000. Figure that a B16 engine, mounts and everything will ball park about $2500. Then you can build it from there and get a maybe 250 HP b16. But not a car that just burns rubber when you get on it in 3rd gear
If you want to go with a turbo setup, I would go with an LS motor. It can handle more boost, stock. And I picked up my complete running b16 swap, already in a 88 hatch for $1000. I had to replace the bottom end, so I picked up an XSI b16 bottom end for $150 and swapped everything in my 91 hatch. Spent hours of tuning the time, but she is a beast now.

In a way yes ,,in a way no..
The stock zc motor is so damn weak..Cant handle more then 200whp so if you do turbo it get a small turbo like t25,14b,t3 .42/.48,ihi,etc..Doesnt make sense getting a huge turbo for a motor that will never use it to the full potential..
Turbo zc is fun but you'll get tired of it because of its maxxing out so easy..So you'll probably end up building the **** out of the motor or getting a b-series

It depends on what you wanna do. What your budget is., etc... just have fun with it. I personally would spend the money on a b16, then save up for a turbo and have it tuned properly, then you will have a one beast of a car.
But do what you will and have fun
