ok there is a "cold rev limiter" deal on these engines that wont let it rev past a certain point til the water temp goes up. this could be a rpoblem or it could also be too low of compression but i am not 100% sure
I just installed a Victor X intake mani on my b18c and threw the same code. On the back of the stock mani, there were two connections. One short(which went to the stock iacv and one long). My IACV was possitioned different on the VX so i had to cut and soder a longer wire to make the connection. I am no longer throwing the code but I am still check engine light is still on and it throws code 1 which is my HO2S. Im new to working on any car and I hope this helps you out. If anyone has any help for my trouble-code, let me know. It has been a pain in my ***.
