TB Spacers - Worth it or nah
Well I was bored and saw some stuff on Ebay, is this TB Spacer even worth it and do anything for performance? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=WDVW Just thought I'd find out since I always see them on there
i had one on my jeep, made a cool whistling noise that "kinda" sounded like a turbo spooling. Other than that i don't think it did a damn thing.
I have also seen this for some domestic cars. The only thing i could see it doing is slightley increasing the amount of air that could flow. the only reason for this is that you have smipley added more room for air to be. I really doubt it would add any power, espically with the spiral thing. By the time the air gets through the spiral it still has to turn down the runner and finally in to the combustion chamber. I really doubt air would still be spinning by then.
Yea I know the domestic us them, not sure if its really worth it for imports. Maybe if you got that with a skunk2 manifold or something ya think? Aight thanks & let me know if anyone else knows anything

I got the motorvation one for my 98ls for xmas. It has the spiral on the inside like mentioned above. I don't think it really did anything performance wise, it just makes a whistling sound like the guy said earlier.
Spacers really work well for carberator cars by insulating the carb from heat and making the intake taller for better air flow but on fuel injected cars they don't really do anything. On mustangs the bmost common misconception is that it's a spacer when it's really an egr blockoff plate. My advice would be to spend your money on something thats known to work.
cool, least I know know cause it puzzled me before. Now the whistling noise it from the intake filter on the throttle a certain amount, or does is whistle all the time? My friends intakes whistle but they don't have anything like this, another thing that always puzzled me, I seem to have the only honda that don't whistle, lol
