Falken GR Beta FK-451
Does anyone have these tires? Im going to be purchasing tires in the next month or so, was debating between these, Kumho 712's or Yokohama AVS ES100's. Ive read and heard about the Kumho's and Yoko's...but havent heard anything about these. They're all similar when it comes to price. Any help would be appreciated with information, experience with the tire or brand. Thanks.
The FK-451's are a great tire for the money, as they wear they won't be as loud as the Yokos or the Kumhos. Performance will be equal with the Yoko's, so its up in the air in that catagory.
What kind of driving will you be doing with the car??

I actually have these right now.......
they ride better than the ES100.... They are narrower than the ES100 though. So ultimate grip is less......As far as daily driving though i think they are great!

Thanks for the input on the tires. Is it a pretty comfortable ride on the streets? What about highway driving at higher speeds? Do they handle well in wet weather also? My 'tegra slides all over the place in rain...definitely need new tires.
Im thinking of getting 16's...certainly leaning towards it, but the 17's keep jumping back into my head.
Also, Ive heard these tires have a rigid sidewall or something that helps protect the rims. Is this the case, and does it do/will it do a better job protecting a tires rim than the other mentioned tires? Thanks.

The tire is more comfotable than the the Yokohama tire at ANY SPEED
The Yokohama is a great tire....but it is focused on PERFORMANCE
I like the Falken 451 for everyday use, its quiet, smooth riding, etc.
It does come with a rim protecter as well. The wet traction is great the last few weeks here in AZ have been a recareation of Noah's Ark!
If you are not racing then there is no need to look further.
