How the hell do you get your ride height even?
So, I lowered my car and adjusted all 4 coilovers to the same length. After I installed them I took measurements and noticed that the car is not sitting even. So I jacked it back up adjusted the coils from the measurements I took and it still is a bit off. Is there a special trick to doing this effectively? I must have raised and lowerred and taken off the wheels 20 times.
Tell us a little more, from what to where do you measure ride height?
And the difference you measure, you dont re-arage 1:1 on height difference on the lower spring perch i hope?

If the car was sitting say 1" lower than I wanted I would adjust the whole coilover 1" upwards.
When measuring I am going from the ground to the fender directly on center with the axles.

I guess that makes sense. Didn't think about that.

how near or far are you from stock ride height? what length springs do you have? when you have the car raised and the wheel off, in full droop, is the spring freely rattling or still a bit compressed?

I am am probrably an 1" or so below stock height. They are Omni coilovers so the spring is still compressed when the car is jacked up. I have it pretty close but am just wondering if there is an easier way in doing this. Thanks for everyone's help so far.

hmmm.... i got to do some further thinking about this before i try to explain it. but, try to LOWER the highest side to equalize the corner heights, instead of raising the lowest. i think the preload factor is the problem.... but ill have to explain later as i sort out my thoughts.

Hmmm....I see your logic and am interested to hear more. I will try that and see what happens. Thanks
The springs are so damn stiff that I figured that I should be ablle to premeasure the coilovers before I install them and the ride height would be even. But apparently the corner weight of stock Integras are way off, that or my springs have different compression ratings. It is not THAT big of a deal but I tend to be really particular when it comes to things like this.

You should sit the car on a level surface, measure from the top of the arc of the fender well to the ground on all four corners, then jack the car up, remove the coilovers, adjust the lower mounts according to the measurements you obtained, and then reinstall everything. Preload should not be a factor at all unless your springs all have whacked out rates for some reason.
One thing i overlooked when trying to level my car--tire pressure.
I spent over 30 mins trying to level my car, which shouldn't have taken that long. After several tries, I figured that my pressure might be low, which it was. After fixing that, the ride height problem was easily remedied.

That is what I was going to check today. Thanks

That's why you measure from the hub center to the wheel arch instead of the ground to the wheel arch.

I think I might try this. A little confusing but after reading it a few more times it should be easy.

I had the same problem with my car when installing the coil overs.. Basicly, I had to raise and adjust the car like 15 times to get everything perfect. Just GO SLOW!! Get everything as close as you can, then take it for a driver so things settle a bit and remesure all 4 corners. Slowly rasie or lower each perch until your golden. It sucks, but it's worth it in the long run.. GOOD LUCK!
Ohh, don't forget your parking brake.. It needs to be OFF when you do your mesurements. If you have a camber kit, make sure it's set as close as possable and after everything is all said an done.. Get a alighnment
