Default First points event in DSP...

First event of the season was back on Sunday. Took 2nd in DSP by 0.187 to a well driven '95 Neon. Also managed 7th RAW, and 9th PAX, out of 107 cars. Very pleased with the results. Conditions were cold, ~35-40, so getting heat in the tires was at a premium. I was running more air in the rear than necessary, just to keep the rear end from getting out of hand. 33psi front/rear on 215/50R13s A032R-S.

Here are a few pics of the action...

Looks like that extra weight in the passenger seat was what was slowing you down.

Good job, Ryan

I was struggling with the cold in combination with old tires. I fought to keep the car under me most every run.

Yeah, had to boot the ballast out of the car for runs 3 & 4.

The cold didn't help matters any, as far as keeping the car from getting loose. The bump in tire pressure in the rear seemed to help a bit though.

Hahaha... Man, I wish we could have actual events during the winter. I'm starting to get the shakes ordering all my parts for April.

That's nothing. Here's a photo from our late-November event. I think I wore jeans that day.

Thanks for running the GRM stickers, by the way.

Are you sure that's not a summer event? I know how you extreme northern boys are (as opposed to us average northern 'Yanks').

Yeah Dave, it's great to be able to wear shorts almost everyday of the year.

Yay! Not a problem. I run them at every event.

heh, our late october event was upper 30's, rainy and windy. up north it may be cold and rainy/snowy/freezing rain/etc. but at least we don't have to worry as much about hurricanes, floods, mud slides, and earthquakes.
