will stock crx si fuel pump handle b16a + 75 dry shot of nitrous
I have a stock b16a in my crx only mod i have done to my car is a 2 1/2 pipe from stock cat to stock axelback. I will prob also be running a scoop into my stock air box (i want the engine compartment to look stock )and a k&n or hks filter in the airbox before i run the n2o.
I have a zex dry kit that im going to run on the motor. It will be a 75 shot. i also have an exeddy clutch so im pretty confident that the motor can handle the shot.
My only doubt is... is the fuel pump going to do the job. I know the zex kit boosts the stock fuel pressure up and i want to be sure the motor dosnt get hurt. (everyday driver).
I will only be running the n2o in the track or only to shut some dsm'ers down every once in a wile
I will also be investing in an egt guage prior to the n2o

it should work my friend spray a 75 shot and his motor was fine, the stock fuel pump should handle it correct me if i'm wrong
Well, yes you could, you could probably run a 100 shot if you wanted. Its just not very practical on a DD since it could break down. Why not atleast replace the fuel filter and inspect the lines for wear. - Darrell

u can even run a 120 shot
u can even run a 120 shot
If the pump was new, maybe...
But how old or how many miles are on your current pump? They don't last forever and making greater demands on an old pump is inviting failure.
And we all know that a fuel problem while spraying is inviting disaster.

Yeah i know ive done 3 pumps so far and i know how much of a bitch it is. thats whyy im debating on not doing it.

i just havnt ran a b series setup i ran a 55 shot dry on a d16 and it was fine with the stock pump.
the car has 200000+ miles on it im not sure about how old the pump is.

i dont know if the crx si and dx are the same fuel pump havent check the #s, but i know when the b16 was swapped. and when i added some bolt ons i was leaning out. new 190lph took care of that problem though.
