I have happened to pick up enough SS tubing and components to finally make an exhaust for my sedan. Now, myself being quite frugal with my money am wondering how hard it is to learn how to weld, inparticular SS. Also, is there anyone in the South Florida area (60 mile Radius of Coral Gables) who may be able to help me out with hands on practice? And last, are they any shops in S.Florida that can do mandrel bends in 2.5" if I supply them the piping?

 

The difficulty is relative to the person doing it. Some learn fast, some will never learn (very few).

I didn't think it was all that hard, but some people have some problems with it. One of the best things you can do is have a digital camera. Practice and take pics. Post them and get advice on how to improve.
