d16z6 cam camshaft question
I am trying to find a camshaft that will rev too 10,000 rpm's along with the rest of my motor... I do need a turbo camshaft because I will be boosting my car... if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.. thanx

Um.....two points, and then I will leave to do my Calc homework.
1) 10,000 RPM is the land of N/A beasts. There is inherently more stress on the rotating assembly at N horsepower then the same N hp at 7,500 RPM through forced induction. Combing the two, especially on a SOHC motor will cause components to fail (Our valvetrain weighs more per cam compared to a DOHC); it may not be quickly but it will not last that long at these power points.
2)Why go to 10,000 RPM on a boosted motor? Just feed up the boost at the normal RPM range and you will be fine. Also, for FI the stock cams are usually the best but in your special application demands you are going to be looking at custom specs to be making power at the level.

Any camshaft will rev up to 10,000rpm..Might not make power up there though..
Like dr.latino said theres no need to rev that high with boost..
Rev up to 10,000rpm and see what happens to the oilpump gear..And let me know..

I absolutely forgot about the oil pump gear,
on me.
