I put a valve cover breather on my car cuz I got it as a gift. Since the built up gases that come out of the valve cover normally go back in the air intake to get reused, would it have anything to do with the the smog check?(I don't need a smog check for a while but just so I know)

 

yes, it will. i know in VA if you take it off and hook up a breather you will fail emmissions...
