No spark...help please

Default No spark...help please

Ok last thursday my CRX died intransit to my house and left me to get towed home by a friend.

Now once i got under the hood i started checking stuff and i came up with the sympton on "no spark"...

So my guess is bad distributer. But from what Liam was saying (on http://www.thezcr.com ) distributers usually don't just go bad like that.

Got 12V from yel/blk to ground and from blu to ground? If you got power check the ignitor and coil with a ohmmeter. Double check the spade connectors on the ignitor and make sure the connections are good.

Best thing to do would be to check it with a known working dizzy. And do as the previous poster said and make sure the dizzy's getting voltage. good luck.

ok i'll check all that. I'm probably gonna end up buying another Dizzy tomorrow since i don't know anyone here in town. But i think it might be the cap and rotor. the rotors metal edge looks black

yeah sorry, i got it running. Bad dizzy, then like a moron i hooked up the spark plug wires wrong and it sounded HORRID. So i checked out http://www.thezcr.com and found out i had #2 and #3 backwards. So i switched them and it started up just great.

Now for my tranny problem.

Oh speed cult you are in Albuquerque? Hit me up on AIM or something (mwelshiemer@aol.com) and we should hang out. Its RARE to find a HTer here in town
