I was trying to install a new fuel filter with yje haynes manual and I couldn't get the bottom screw(the one connected to the fuel line) off, so I decided to put everything back and leave it for tommorrow cuz I had to get ready for work and now the car won't start and there is fuel coming out of the top of the filter, what can I do? Any suggestions?

yah sometimes they get stuck, just try harder.

also on the fuel filter is a spot for another wrench to hold for leverage.

use a line wrench.

 

well, if you just loosened up the top fuel line and decided to just tighten it back down the crush seals were probably shot and won't seal. I'm not 100% sure because on my filter both lines are on the top. But if you try to reuse them they will usually leak gas.

 

thanks for the replies, yea I had to stay home from work and replace it and use new washers cuz thats where the fuel was leaking out from.
