i just put a 1995 b16 jap spec into a 1995 honda del sol and i was wondering when the rev limiter is suposto kick in casue mine kicks in at 7800 someone told me that it should go passed 8,000 or 8,200 let me know

 

redline = 8100, rev limiter = 8500. it's possible that your tach is inaccurate. mine's off about +500

Does VTEC come on? If you think you may not be getting Vtec you could have another problem like a dented oil pan or low oil (if you don't have a CEL).

 

yes it kicks in at like 5400 or so

 

Well I would say your tach is off by 600 rpm cause my vtec comes on at 6000 there for your rev limiter is coming on at about 8400.
