break new clutch?

Default break new clutch?

hey my new act clutch and flywheel setup should be done today or tomorrow, i was wonderin if you have to break it in at all or is it like brakes where you are supposed to break them in for like 500 miles but it really doesnt matter. i just dont want to burn out the clutch fast. thanx

yes u are supposed to break it in, if not it will not last as long.

There has been many topics on this...
But it seems like everyone breaks them in for at least 500 miles, which was what i did

500 definately, i didnt with my first new clutch and i had to buy a new clutch really soon after. it didnt last long at all.

i didnt shift hard for about 1000 miles just to be on the safe side i had a ACT stage 2 6 puck.

YOU SUPPOSED TO BREAK IN THE CLUTCH FOR 500 MILES. DONT REALLY NEED TOO. BUT ITS A GOOD IDEA.

What do you mean dont really need to? You do need to, unless your someone that has the money to replace a clutch more than one time a year...

just drive it normally for 500 miles, after that, your good.
