Default Crack in header, could it cause o2 to...

Could a crack in my headers cause my o2 sensor to give me a check engine light. Im getting code 1 on my p08. The o2 sensor was purchased and put on in august so its pretty new.

If the crack somehow dislodged a chunk of carbon inside the header and the carbon smacked the O2 Sensor upside the head, then you could have a very pissy O2. Also, if you bought one from Autozone or another place like that, you probably ended with a Bosch, and I have found their sensors to be hit-or-miss in how long they last, no puns intended.
