Default help me....how do i make a circle in the metal flange?

noob question for u guys. easy for u guys but hard for me.....

i need to make a circle in the flange from my cat. it's the whitish/yelowish part. what tools can i use? dremel? i have a dremel but dont know which accessories to use. sears.com has pics of the accessories. if any of u guys can link me to the tool, that'll be very helpful. thanks....

Try a drill bit. Go slow. Use coolant.

Less accurate.

It will take longer, and require more patience, but it will fit in your dremel.

cool. i'm gonna try the drill bit first. but why use coolant? can i use lube?

He doesnt mean radiator coolant, he means machining lube. Im not sure what exactly you're doing... are you drilling through the cat material, or making a flange?

lol. told u i was a noob. i thought he meant radiator coolant.

i'm trying to drill through the flange. not making the flange.

wd40 will work, youjust need some kind of lube/coolant.that bit will heat up fast
