jdm gauge cluster help me!!
I've been searching for like 10 min but mabye someone can help me, I pulled my jdm cluster out of my car and I can't remember how to get it apart
can someone help me find the writeup that showed it all easy
so far i've got the clear plastic off adn I cna't remember if I have to pull the black part off the front, it's being a real bitch

If you're talking about the faux CF plate, its easy. First, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO JUST "pull" it off. You'll end up breaking it. There's 3 screws that hold it on. You can access it with a phillips screw driver. Its not hard to miss. There's 3 sunken holes where the screws sit so you're going to have to get a screw driver that will go that far in. Nothing too long of course. Once the three screws are removed, then just carefully work the tabs free. Don't rush or you might end up snapping those tabs and having a bad day. But becareful not to unscrew the other screws that are on the face of the green film. Those hold your gauges into the cluster. But if you're planning on removing the guages then yea...those screws too.
Also on a side note, those plastic covers that have the symbols for the CEL light, brake, SRS if it has it, whether the door or hood is ajar, seat belt light and stuff ...you can remove those by gently pushing on them. Hope this helps.
