thats badass. I have been making random furnature for a couple years now, but i like the valvesprings...with that many of them there, can you lean back hard enough to make it flex via springs or is it more or less soft clamping by shear number of springs. I made a Corbusier LC-4 pony Chaise longe chair out of 1" SS square bar stock and 24" conveyor belt and it is wicked comfy. I have made a couch, coffee table, shelves etc using the same and various materials....

I don't think stock springs can handle big cams ( aka fat chicks )

to whoever did the laminating. looks pretty good. If you want to get creative you could cover the edges with solid wood to eliminate the end grain look.
