is it fixable? how much would it cost to fix? also what type should i use if you can replace them?

Yes it is fixable, not easy, but fixable. You basically have to tear the whole bottom of the engine apart. Put some OEM or good aftermarket (research will tell you the best ones) in. But if you have sufficent oil, you won't have to worry about that happening again. Where are you located in CA, if you are in SoCal I might know someone that could do it for you for cheap. (cheaper than any shop around)

 

were you running low on oil for a while ?

 

Fixed two GSR's this week due to spun bearings. Time consuming, but not hard. Cheap? Maybe. If your crank is fucked it will need to be recut and add in a complete set of bearings too.

OEM crank from Acura is over $1000.
Having a machine shop cut your crank is roughly $150.
OEM bearings are around $12 per half.
Crank kits from various auto parts stores run anywhere from $300-$450.

 

sounds like it cost an arm and leg....... better off getting a new block?
