high idle
i would like to know this too, because thats how mine idles for a lil bit when started up, and then slows to 690-710 in idle after warmed up, but to me, thats normal
i believe that at cold start up, those are normal.
after the car warm up, idle is 750 rpm for accord...
well, this for my car...correct me if i'm wrong
also check the spec on your hood...it should tell you the normal idle at warm up

Yeah seems taht this is a normal thing. Idling at 1500 to warm up then dropping between 600-800. it'll drop to this if you put it in drive (auto) too. otherwise it'll sit at 1500, designed to warm it up faster i believe.
the high idle is merely a way to warm the motor up faster...an idle of 1500-2000 will warm the motor up faster than the regular 750 rpm idle...this is what that little device on the intake manifold called the iacv is for...
