Default TRANNY CASE!! HELP

my tranny caseing has a big hole in it, i believe that there are two casings, the one closest to the tranny fluid bolt is messed up, are tranny casings interchangeable through b series trannys? i got a USDM type r transmission

they are not the same! the diff bearings are different in the b16 and b18. The outer is the same but not the inner

no ALL of the casings ARE the same. Depending on the year of the hydro it will have different races for either a open face bearing, or a closed bearing. You can easily pop these races out and put the races in from your old tranny.

The housing though is exactly the same.

I had to change mine a few months ago when the bolts ripped out from the back mount.

btw you might want to order the closed bearings for your diff. They are better than the open faced ones and by design are better to stay in specs for clearence.
