take a look at my cage (legal to run 9s)...questions & concerns (alot of pics)
Ok, well after seeing pics of these cages (& in person) I am even more worried that I wont be able to add points to my cage and even have to cut it out...here are some pics that I took recently to show you what I'm talking about. I would like to get some advise or opinions from what you see in these pics & a few things I've observed
HERE ARE PICS OF MY CAGE, TAKE A LOOK (first 3 pics are my car)

NOW LOOK AT THESE PICS...SEE THE DIFFERENCE...THE MAIN HOOPS IN THESE PICS ARE PARALLEL TO THE PILLAR

ANOTHER THING THAT BOTHERS ME IS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THE 2 BARS IN THE FRONT TO BE LEGAL TO RUN 9s....BUT MY SIDE BARS ARE WELDED TO THE FLOOR...SEE FOR YOUR-SELF, THEN LOOK AT THE PICS AFTER
(first two pics are my car)

NOW NOTICE THAT THE SIDE BARS ARE WELDED TO THE FRONT BARS THAT ATTACH TO THE HALO BARS

Is this something I should worry about or what can be done to fix this problem??? I want to add the front 2 bars & halo bars.
Remember, I am trying to be legal to run 9s...I have already passed 135mph traps so this is still necessary even though I haven't even run a 9 yet.
Thanks for your input
Tommy

take another look... you must be missing something.

My question is if I can add to this 6 point I currently have to make it a 10 point...
I'm asking for expert advise here or people that build cages...dont point anything out you dont know

Its ok that your side bars hit the floor. When the windshield runner comes down put it in front of it on the plate or slightly on top of it that will be fine. But your Rear runners look to be on to steep of an angle. There is a minmal angle that is required. I'm not sure if they'll give you a hard time or not. Check the rules for it and check before you go futher I think its like 30degrees. Not to be a dick but if your going that quick I would zawzall what you have out and get a nice cage done. The one you have won't look good when its done . Your windshield runners will be in front of your dash or close to it due to where those floor plates are.
thank you, I appreciate your feedback... I agree with what you say but since I dont build cages for a living I'm not sure. I just need to make sure that what I think is true & then unfortunately cut it out.

thats why there are roll bar padding, and low seat brackets. but still, yes.

I def. do not see your rear bars being at a wide enough angle. Mine are sitting at about 33* (the legal limit is 30) and they are ALOT wider than yours. This is the best pick i had:
Tommy don't worry you can notch the door tubes to add the front bars, and don't forget to have the lower diagonals from the main hoop to the sub frame on 6x6 plates added also.
