question about my axle problem?
Hey everyone, about 4 weeks ago I put a jdm b16 with lsd tranny inot my 91 Ef std hatchback. The install went fine, I used 1990 Acura Integra axles like I was told but afterwards, when I try to drive the car, it seems as if there was a terrible "shake" when I put the car in the air at my work (I have acess to a lift) and drove it inthe air, I had someone look at the engine and see what was shaking. When the car is at an idle the motor runs fine and there is no prob, but when put in gear and when the RPM risies, the motor begins to shake, and it gets worse as the RPM gets higher. Just from looking at the situation, it seems as if the axles are "too long" could this be? Obvisouly this is a drivetrain problem, but my question is; when one of you did this swap did you keep the origional midshaft or did you chang it out? Did you use DA axles? Is this a normal problem that Im running into? Any feedback will be much appreciated!

But the 90-93 axles fit into the haftshaft on the b16 (the haftshaft that was alredy on the motor) but I guess the DA haftshaft is shorter? Is that the reason?

What tranny is this? YS1 or Y1? If it's a Y1, then most likely it's the half-shaft that is giving you problems. I would just swap the half-shaft out for a 90-93 Teg one and see if that remedies the problem.
