Default Toda Gen 2 cam gears - Maximum advance/ retard possible?

Some of you may remember that I was a little confused when adjusting my cam gears last time on the dyno:

Well fast forward to today and I was double-checking my settings.

+15int, -5exh

No big deal, right? Well what is the maximum advance and retard that these gears allow? 10 degrees? 15 degrees? Apparently, godspeed thinks that if you have advanced or retarded 15 degrees or more then you are off by a tooth on the timing belt... (http://godspeed.hack.net/) Well it's dead on as far as I can tell...so I'm not off a tooth.

Anyone? Toda website doesn't have a definitive answer either, although I would swear that it used to.....

The maximum motion on these cam gear is 10 degrees advance or retarde. I beleive you must reading them wrong if you have +15 on intake . The scale goes up only to +10 (from the center dot on the outer ring wich is a 0 degree setting, there is 10 lines on each side )

I thought the Gen 2 only moved +/- 2.5 marks from 0. That should be =/- 5 degrees. The scale is carried out farther than the 2.5 marks, but that is as far as they turn. Or atleast on my car...

Scratch what I just said. Following a powerfull urge to secure my answer and having my camshaft in the basement ( don't ask why) I just did a test and I can move the cam gear by + or - 20 degrees (which does equate to a motion of + or - 10 degrees on the crankshaft so I guess I was half right) Let's just say that you have an unusual setting, but if it works for you...What I'm questioning is that on the Toda website they mention that the maximum setting is + or - 5 degrees because you don't need more???

Toda gears = too cryptic.

I've NEVER seen so many cam gear related questions in my life until the TOda gears came out.

No guessing w/ Skunk2, AEM, JUN, HKS, etc.

All right enought guessing, I took some measurements:
The inside diameter of the outer ring is 79.8mm wich gives a circunference of 250.7mm. The distance between each marking on the outer ring is 3.5mm.
250.7/3.5=71.6
360degrees/71.6=5 degrees per marking. The outer ring can move by two markings on each side of the "0" mark so it is + or - 10 degrees of movement on each side.
One should never secondguess his first answer
Now I must go sleep before I decide to check my answer again.

10 cam degrees = 20 degrees crank.

each mark is 10 degrees at the crank, which is what i have stated before.

Reading the cam gears is incredibly simple.

blackR: What it means by 1 tooth off, is that if you move it X degrees it would be
as if you moved the cam gear 1 tooth.

I think the Toda Gen 2 gears are one of the best looking cam gears out in the market and it supposed to be the most accurate one. But for sure it is pain in the *** to read it when compare to other cam gears out there.

Like i said, very easy to read, and probably the best.
The only real negative about them is the bolts.
When will they go to std hex bolts??
