Default Pulling the most out of a Stock motor

well i went to the dyno today (88 CRX w. b17, itr cams, intake, 4-2-1 header, cat, cat back exhaust) it put down 154.33whp and 112.79 wtq. a local honda guy told me taht my power band was good cept the ITR cams were good for power to 8500, but it stopped powet at 7k. he suggest an intake manifold and bigger TB and i should see possibly 170 or 175whp.....im just tryin to find out whats gunna give me the best all motor power w. your simple bolt ons.

I highly doubt you will gain 15-20whp from just a manifold and throttle body on your motor because its relatively stock and its not pushing that much air. Throttle bodies on "basically stock motors" don't do much at all. Maxbore can open up your stock throttle body to 62mm or 65mm for like $100 if you want opposed to spending $2-3 bills on a used hype-r throttle body.

get a programable ecu, mine is a huber data i think, my buddy did it, if i had to choose my ecu over bolt ons i would choose the ecu
do that and get it tuned that will make an amazing difference your ecu is not used to the bolt ons

well i was basically plannin on the maxbore cause i dont think $350+ is worth it for a 70mm TB, and i never really thought bout an ecu change....but it was brought to my attention that the power peaked at 7k and the ITR cams are good upto 8500, so thats another 1200rpm i can get power from, but thats why i came to this forum to find out whats gunna do best for me
