Usually because after being duped and spending enough of their hard earned money on something that weighs about as much as stock but with a much poorer fit and finish than OEM, they feel they still must show it off.

This is a fine engine mod and denotes a great attention to detail that most of us have overlooked. Kirk, let's put this on the prep list for the GTI for the "12 Hours at the Point". If it won't add speed, I am sure aero and reliability will be helped.
