Default 205/50/15 vs 195-50/15

I recently sold my mugen 15X7 mf10ls, I had 205/50/15 falken azenis mounted on them. Well I use to rub like crazy (on my 95 hatchback EG). My buddy let me borrow his Si rims with 195-50-15 and the diff. was day and night. My question is, is the falken azenies the only 205/50/50 that rubs like crazy..(is it because of the design)? I mean ive seen other 205/50/15 tires (models) and dont even look as big and bulky as the falkens...im planning on getting some 15X6.5 or 15X7 rims in the future, dont know if i should go with 195-50-15, or 205-50-15

heres a pic of a EG I found, the tire set up is 205-50-15, I was amazed cause cause the tires look like 195-50-15

anybody recommend a nice 195-50-15 or 205-50-15 (other than the falkens azenis model)

ES100's are pretty nice. I'd say stick with 205... it will give u a better feel than a 195. Also take in to consideration about what wheel offset's you choose next time u go and buy a new wheel.

my mugen mf10ls were 15x7 / +40 offset / 4x100. . How I said I had 205/50/15 falken azenis and i rubbed like crazy. Im pretty low about 2.25-2.5 all the way around (EG) people told me i rubbed because my offset and 15X7 wheel(honestly i really dont understand the whole offset thing, had the same rims and tires on my old gsr which was dumped and didnt have any rubbing at all) My next rims would proably be some spoons sw388's. I really like the agressive look of the falken azenis and i live in the desert so rarley do i see rain. u guys think i would rub? what would be a better choice 15x6.5/+35 offset/4x100 * or 15x6.5/+45 offset/4x100 ??? or should i just go with some yoko es100 in 205/50/15 cause of my drop..

205 flaken azenis look nice, they look agressive and cover up the wheel, but how some peeps said they are bigger (bulkier) than most 205's out there, and u might have a problem with rubing. Not sure if u would though with the spoons..anyone have experince with 205/50/15 on spoons, with a EG low drop?
bump for a buddy

I had 205/15 azenis (w/ 15x6.5 rotas, not sure about offset) on my previous eg hatch. It had stock ride height, but a slightly stiffer jic sf-1 suspension, and they rubbed pretty bad. My wheel well eventually ripped off, and I think most likely it had something to do with the azenis bieng too wide.

I also happen to run 205/15 kumho mx on my 89 crx (also w/ 15x6.5 rotas), 92 miata (15x7, 35 off). They look wide, but not quite a wide as the azenis. Neither car has any rubbing at all.

I would prob have the fenders rolled or something if i ever throw on 205 azenis.
