Default o2 sensor replacement

98 accord ex
141k 5 spd

i changed my o2 sensor a month ago(before cat) now i bought one for after the cat. i had the car on ramps and i couldnt get it unscrewed for nothing. its prob the original, well i got the car at 126k and it had original plugs and wires, so if the guy didnt change those, then my o2's are def originials. im afraid of stripping the nut, then im really fu*cked. so what u guys recommend is the best way to remove it. should the car be cold when i try to remove it? i didnt wana try to hard n then rip the catalyic conv. off its hinge or support. when i changhed the front one, it didnt give me that...much of a problem, but this one is. thanks for the info

Be patient and put penatrating oil on it for a day or two....then try again. What kind of wrench are you using ?

What everyone recommended is the best way - if you can't heat it up really well, then just put some rust buster on it and let it soak in. If you do heat it up, be careful of the wires after the connector.

I agree with heating up the pipe and using penetrating oil to help ease it out.

I also swear by those special deep socket adapters with the cutout for the wires.

If you don’t want to go and purchase a deep socket at the least use a flair nut wrench to avoid stripping it out.

Good Luck
