i went to a local truck scale here in town to weigh my 94 integra RS. the scale only weighs in incriments of 20 so it is rounded one way or another. i was very suprised to find out that my car only weighed 2360 without me in it! my last EK hatch weighed in at 2300 flat with no back seats or spare and my friends em1 wieghed 2500 flat. prolly wondering why my car weighs what it does, i havent gotten to hardcore on weight reduction but what i have done is:
-no rear seats
-no rear panels
-no spare tire or jack
-removed sound dedening tar under rear seats and in trunk
-removed front windshield wipers (not rainy any time soon)
-removed rear wiper and motor
-buddy club spec 2 exhaust (no muffler or flanges
)
-comptech stainless steel header (stock header weighed 30lbs as this one weighs near 15)
and thats basically it. the car still has power steering, AC, and heavy nsx brake setup. let me know what you guys think. does this sound about right. i was pretty happy with the outcome.

i didnt really plan on removing the wiper arms on the front but they were losing the black coloring and the silver was showing through so i took them off. they dont really weigh much but i just thought that i would add it in there that i took them off just for reference. im sure with a carbon fiber hood, no AC and no power steering i could drop a nice amount of more weight

yeah but im not sure i want to get that hardcore into it. at least want to keep the safety objects like the bumper supports as well. i was just happy with my weight with what little reduction i did

how important is the rear support? i have recently obtained 98+ front and rear bumpers. i have to have them painted still, but while the rear is off .... i was thinking about taking the support out.
comments?
suggestions?

If your driving the car on the street i'd say don't do it. You can control some what if some one is going to hit you head on but you cannot avoid a person that flys into the back of your car while your at a stop light.

yeah im opting to keep them. if anyhting i plan to remove the rear antenna motor, since i dont like how how the 94 antenna goes up on the integra and it will just stay at a stationary height where it still picks up signals, also plan to remove the windshield washer resovoir and those components, and im pretty sure thats it unless i plan to go a different path with my engine which may require me to remove AC. too soon to tell really

not bad at all. what exactly did you remove. i would imagine removing the bumper supports (front and back), AC, power steering, and maby a few other things would get me near you, one thing i opt not to remove is the airbags and srs setup

I think wipers qualify as safety objects. Please put them back on, before it starts raining one day while you are driving and you get into a wreck.
There is currently (not archived) another thread on weight reduction here:

it has weights on stock integras (rs, gsr, itr), as well as other useful weight reduction, check it out and contribute when you get a chance.
