Default Dent repair

On my WRX, I've used paintless dent service to fix a few dents, which cost me total $200. I was watching how he was pulling a dent using a piece of rod by pushing it out. From the way he did it, it looked really simple. In average, it took about 5-10 min to fix one dent. No special tools were required except a mirror with lighting to ensure the surface is flat.

Now, I am thinking about making my own rod that I can use to fix dents on my lude. Has anyone thought about making your own rod with rounded end that you can use to push dent out? Think it is quite doable...

Weird comment. I wouldnt worry about dents, if anything, use pops-a-dent. I wouldnt try and push your own dents out you will stretch the panels. It is a lot easier to stretch body panels that you might think.

theres already something on the market already, and those dent pullers are only for light dents, cannot do any major dents

I'd say the opposite. They're pretty much useless for tiny dings because the pad part that you glue to the paint is too big to pull anything smaller than it (about a quarter size). If you have a huge dent from a football or some junk they could work aright, but they're useless on small stuff.
