I wanted to buy a set of recaros out of an EVO VIII and put them in my 97 ls. I just wanted to know if there is a way i can install them without ghetto-fabing anything. Can I purchase rails and brackets so that it will directly bolt on? If so, how much will that cost?

How inexpensive will your pricing be for them? I'm curious, because you might simply be better off purchasing ITR Recaro's instead. The reviews I've read of the Evo's seats indicate that they aren't terribly supportive, and at least the ITR's will bolt in without any problems or issues (such as seat height or clearance)

 

The ones i found are going for $550. The other route i was thinking about going was getting s2000 seats and i know i can just swap out the seat pans with my stock seats.

 

i like the s2k seats better imo. But Evo8 Recaros would be different.

 

Why do you like to s2000's better? Im not too concerned with the aesthetics of the seats. I just want something that is comfortable and that will lock me in during spirited driving.

 

just buy JDM ITR Recaro seat brackets, they should bolt right on to the EVO seats

i dont like the evo recaros (IMO) the are definitley made for the "plus sized american" so said mitsubishi. not good boltersing for the price of them you could get a good set of sparcos or something

i have seen the EVO seats thread, they loked very nice

i had s2000 seats in my EK for a while but i recently changed to Buddy Club's and i love them!!

 

i would rather haev the ITR recaros....i havent felt the s2ks..

 

anybody got pix of any of the above mentioned seats in a dc2?
