well, i had bought some EVO 8 recaro seats off a totalled EVO about a month ago and yesterday finally took the time to install them. the brackets didn't fit at all...but with a little will, determination, and tools i was able to ghettomize the seats to fit. i took it for a little test drive last night on a curvy road and damn...my big *** didn't even budge!! next thing to do now is drive with a helmet

 

nice. but they would go better with my palmy blue interior.

thanks guys. yeah i didn't like the blue/black on grey interior either but hey, at least the black matches my dash and doors. and just like you guys said, function over fashion

now it's time to find black carpet and black rear seats.

They do not look awsome....Im sorry to say but they look like riceboy seats possible Tenzo or some other cheap *** company.

Form over Function.....In the most part this is true but there should be balance between the two but these particular seats pushes the balance in a negative direction.

 

what are you doing about seat belts? or do the slots actually allow a harness to be used?

(I don't drive an integra, but my del sol is an integra at heart)

In your DREAMS....please do not compare a **** SOL to a Integra not that the Integra is anything special but the Del Sol is a different type of car.

dude come on...THEY'RE RECAROs!! and what's your definition of riceboy? most if not all riceboys don't even have aftermarket seats. so would you say that someone who has ITR or CTR seats in their integra or civic is also rice? or is it having those seats are cool cause it makes your car JDM? either way these seats are WAY better than my stock cloth seats both in the performance and comfort departments.

 

What a steal for 200 bucks, like you said they are not the best looking things in the world but you are getting a far nicer seat

The Riceboy definition has to do with installing parts on your car that just do not go with the overall design of the vehicle....for instance your seats look like total **** in your car but possible in a EVO with matching interior they would look above average and that would pushing it. Yes!!! They do provide some function but not worth totally demeaning the total look of the vehicle. Please be kind to yourself and remove those awful looking seats and get your money back and maybe invest in some JDM Seats or some sporty Sparcos that can match with the interior of the vehicle.

Yeah I totally agree the seats were a great deal but since when does every good deal mean you have to demoralize the look of your car just for the sake of getting a great deal.

man you're just hating aren't you! lets see what you've got in your car before you start hatin. and really...can you really get any better than this w/$200? not unless you're busting the 5 finger discount on other people's cars.

really now...these seats in my opinion look great, feel great, and perform great. if they didn't, why would mitsubishi even put them in their top selling sports car, the Evo 8?!?! i know the blue kinda stands out since most of us HONDA guys are so used to that "JDM" look with the RED seats and all, but hey, i'm sure i can get my interior to match those seats without working too hard or breaking my piggy bank. so all in all, i'm VERY happy with the seats and if you've got something better, GOOD FOR YOU!
