Default question about b18c in a 96 civic dx/ exhaust related.

I'm dropping in a jdm b18c 98 itr swap this weekend, my question is I'm using a 01 us itr header for the time being, I just want to have a temp exhaust set up. Can I just run the header to the stock dx exhaust and bolt it up with no cat, until my full jdm itr header, cat, and exhaust come in. Will this bolt up without much modification?

the bolt holes wont line up. like i said if i remember correctly. i have been doin cable swaps and it has been a while since i have done an ek swap. but the last one i did, i do remember that the collector size was infact different. it was different than an eg as well. i put my old eg header on my friends ek, and it too was a different collector size. take it to a muffler shop and have a small section welded in and you should be ok.

better yet, get a temporary test pipe (flanged on both ends) to fill the gap between the header and the rest of the exhaust. then buy the header and exhaust you want to run, then have a custom cat fabbed up to join the two.
