If you are talking about the motor, then you are fine, its the same thing for left and right hand drive.

If you are talking about the car, converting rhd to lhd is a pita and can be pricey, not worth it IMO

Not everyone knows everything about engine swaps. I thought this forum was here as an information source, not something to come on here and bash people who are new to the scene..
Greenlantern, this is an exellent source of info for hondas, and acuras. Use the search feature in the upper right hand corner to access it.

okay okay...

The motor is not affected from RHD to LHD. There is no difference besides the vehicle, wiring and some other odds and ends.

All you will need to do is wire it up to have VTEC thats if you have MPFI already.

Also you will need SI/DX front steering knuckles.

Should be able to use the stock shift linkage from the JDM motor (if its from a CRX b16a)

And I believe you can also use the motor mounts from the JDM motor too. But it has to be from a CRX otherwise no they won't.

There are other odds and ends you will also have to address but ask if you don't know.

Hoped that little tidbit helped.

acuratech suggested the search - this is a good place to start. also - you can google search the HASports website. They are basically "<U>the</U>" people for motor swaps in Hondas. You can order everything you need for this swap from them. it might be a little expensive, but its good quality.

get used to it there are alot of flammers on this site.
just ignore them, there are many member who will answer your questions.
Just make sure you search before posting (this will decrease the number of flammers )

We all make mistakes.

I spent most of the first month of my membership here searching for everything, as I knew jack **** about anything Honda. I am now almost done with my engine swap, and I opened a part-time Honda repair shop with my friend. The search feature is my hero. My second hero is Google Advanced Search on honda-tech for those little words like SI and EF and ZC.

Nope!!!!

Heres a little help for you......just some basics you need to know.

You will have to purchase a motor mount kit( hasport, enjo, avid, or HCP ).

If the swap came out of an EF8/EF9 then the linkage it comes with you can use. Now if it came out of an XSI you may have to do a little fabbing. or purchase a linkage with the motor mount kit as a package.

If your 88 hatch is a STD model, you will have to get knuckle ( spindles ) off a 88-91 civic dx or ex, or crx dx/si. You can also use the 90-93 integra ones also.

As far a wiring save yourself the headache and order a subharness from Hasport( http://www.hasport.com ) or ( http://www.rywire.com). Get the one for your specific model car, be it a DX/STD/LX(dpfi) or SI/EX(mpfi).

also need cv axles from a 90-93 integra, throttle cable from the same too. Upper radiator hose also from a 94 up GSR ( trim to fit ).

the bad thing about 90-93 Integra Knuckles are the fact they affect one of the alignment angles (I forget I think it is caster)

I still believe you could use the mounts, lol, but I don't know for sure off hand. There are kits out there not just from Hasport. Ebay has some cheap ones. Just make sure you get ones that are have good welds.

If you are running a header, not the stock exhaust manifold, you will have to cut/dent the front crossmember. I believe I was able to retain my CRX clutch cable but I will have to double check.

The VSS will be another problem. Yours should be cable driven if it isn't you will need to either convert it to cable other wise convert your cluster to VSS (switch w/a cluster that is compatible and add wiring)
