Default help with stuck bolt

Taking t he heat shield off over my exhaust manifold. Took the top bolt off without using anything like wd 40 (actually the stuff i'm using is in a yellow bottle and called some kind of catalyst....supposedly way better than wd 40). Well the bolt got stuck in the wrench, so i had to hold it with whatever I could find, and beat it out with a screwdriver. So on the next bolt I used the petetrating lubricant, and the same thing happened! There's gotta be an easier way to take out and retrieve a bolt!

More then likely the rust on the bolt has caused it to swell somewhat so although the wrench you are using is more then likely the right size, the rust is causing you some problems. You might consider taking a wire brush to the bolt before attempting to take it out. This will give you a cleaner surface and a more accurate sizing. Good luck.
