Energy Suspension - Wheel Hop - 5th Generation
So I don't like the fact that if I peel out the whole front end starts hoppin like a bunny... I found these: http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/hon2.html but they are only for 4th generation. Anyone know of any other solutions besides "slow down"? Its not that I go around gunning it constantly, when it happens its accidental and I dont want to do any damage to the car - I've seen post describing wheel hop as a very bad thing for your car. I DO want to get a tein suspension but I cant afford one right away - and these look like a much lex expensive solution - any other companies out there selling these for 5th gen?
You did say "accidental" wheel hop. This is not good with our FWD cars-think what is happening to the CV joints. 5th gen Preludes are not designed for clutch dumping. Another thing-unless the car is being built for the track DO NOT go for a full ES or any other brand poly kit. Trust us on this as it will not only squeak-it will not handle the same as the stock bushings. Will it fix the problem-not likely based on your description. The Tein kit will not unto itself solve your problem. It will allow the car to sit lower and be stiffer as to ride.
That's my 2 cents

For the record, yes the 4th gen motor mounts will fit the 5th, however the back insert will not fit. Also, "Keith" from http://www.preludeonline.com makes a set every now and then, they're around $35 shipped from him. Next time use the search... its been covered.

Yes it will.
Motor mount inserts do a good job of controlling wheel hop - just be prepared for some extra vibration at idle, especially with the A/C on.
