Default Question regarding wastegates...

I'm planning on building a turbo kit from scratch. The turbo in which i'm consider of running is a T4/3 on a GSR. I plan on starting out with 8-9 psi and after the motor gets completely built I'll be pushing higher than that. The car is currently daily driving and somewhat race every now and then. I'm considering on getting a Tial or HKS wastegate. I'm looking for Opinions,Experiences,Ups & Downs,ETC any information would help. Thanks please be free and post away.

Yeah, no issues whatsoever from mine, and they're all about the same price...why not go with something that's proven?

tial 38mm should be all you need for that setup.. or SSAutochrome WG's on ebay, they are identical to Tial, I know several high hp cars with this WG and no probs..

If you plan on racing your car and using leaded race fuel, consider getting the Turbosmart Ultragate. The body is made from investment cast 253ma stainless. The valve is a one piece design, made from billet 253ma SS. Tials are made of SAND cast 347SS, and the use a 2 piece valve design made from some alloy. Since the ultragate is investment cast, it will never rust. Plus the ultragate is race gas ready, and it comes with all the spring PSi's and gaskets.

I to would have to say tial. I prefer the 44mm with v-band though you might not need something that big but the v-band comes in very handy.

Are HKS wastegates just not good or they over prices?
