Default greddy kit and boost

sense the greddy kit's turbo spools so quickly which means your basically always in boost, wouldnt it put alot of wear and tear on your car compared to a larger t3/t4 turbo which only hits boost when under alot of load and higher rpm's?

so solve this could you just use a electronic boost controller w/low boost setting on like 4-5 psi for daily driving and high boost setting 6-10 for when ever you need to get somewhere faster?

w/jdm tranny and very short gearing i would imagine the greddy kit would virtually always be in full boost, therfore shortening the life of one's motor more then a larger t3/t4 correct?

how does your traction compare when trying to get down the 1/4 track with a small, fast spooling turbo to a larger t3/t4 turbo? i would image the t3/t4 would rip but mostly just spin tires where the t3/t4 would not rip until higher rpm but probably still ripping tires either way

just wondering..

it shouldn't be a problem, just because you're in boost, doen'st mean theres a lot of load on the engine. i'm always in/out boost while cruising around, my car is fully tuned with hondata, you're not making major hp or putting lots of hp while pulling few psi at partial throttle. just make sure you're tuned properly and there will be no problem. i got small t3t4 which i think has same compressor size as greddy kit, greddy kit has much smaller turbine.

it's relative to the throttle, just don't be be hardcore on the gas all the time.

^^ What he said.

The amount of torque you're making at any given point, will be proportional to the stress on the engine. For daily driving though, most turbo kits can be as reliable as a stock motor when it comes to the internals, unless you're launching from stoplight to stoplight.

If you're going to track it, you better save up for some pistons The day will come...
