Default Oil leaking into sparkplugs.. Help please

I recently replaced my stock valve cover since it had scratched and deep cutd in it and generally look like ****. I got a Mugen valve cover and used brand new stock gaskets. I did as I was told by tightening the nuts to 7 lbs of torque. I started it up and it was working just fine. So for a few days now I have been driving and nothing has seemed wrong. I just got new spark plug wires and when I went to take the spark plug wire out of cylinder 1 ( its the longest wire.. goes to the right cylinder. ) I saw a TON of oil in there. there was enough oil in there to where I could only see the very tip of the spark plug. There was only oil in cylindar 1 and 2, and just a tiny bit in 3. 4 was just fine and nothing in there.

I was able to stick some toilet paper and stuff it in the cylinders with a thin stick and get the majority of it out. I can only see a little in there but I got the spark plug cleaned off and dry in all the cylinders. I put the new wires on and it started up faster and easier and I rev'ed it to about 7k and sounded just fine with no misfires that I could hear. I think i'll be just fine. I tightened up all the nuts a little more but I couldnt find my dads torque wrench so I just tried my best not to over tighten them. I dont think I did as I never heard or felt anything wrong. The only thing I really think I need is a little more oil.

But anyways my question is, Im getting new NGK Iridium spark plugs and when I go to take the ones I have out, I am worried that little bit of remaining oil will drip into the cylinders where the pistons are. But im not sure if that will damage or do any harm to my engine. I dont think I can get the rest of that oil out so I dont know if I should be changing the plugs. So will that small amount of oil damage it? And does anyone know a way I can get the oil out?

The little bit of oil dripping in shouldn't affect the motor other than a dab of smoke at startup. Consider removing as much of the oil as possible with a syringe before pulling the plug out. Also, is this an actual Mugen headgasket, or is it one of the cheap knock-off's?

It sound like you need new spark plug o-ring gaskets for underneath your valve cover or did you replace all 4 of those when you did the valve cover gasket?

Paper towels stuffed down in there will work too -

I agree about the new spark plug o-rings - sounds like you need them really badly.

I just did this yesterday, new cover gasket, 4 o rings, and 8 lil grommets... I had a good amount of oil in each cylinder, i havent checked yet to see if it came back but i drove around a bunch last night and i will be yankin the plugs out in a little while to see. I dont blow smoke so I dont think its anything else. I HOPE..

good luck with yours, try replacing the rings if you haven't...

no, All the valve cover gaskets and O rings are brand new. And yes its a Mugen knock off. I cant afford the real one and the old one I had needed to be replaced anyways. But Yeah, the O rings are new. I Dont think that they are bad. I just think that I needed to re tighten them. As I did last night. ill do the same thing tonight and make sure everything is ok. But I never thought of a syringe.

try swapping the tube seals around. there could just be a tiny gap somewhere on the seals. maybe tighten the valve cover to 10 ft lbs to get a little extra seal.
