93sol z6 turbo... engine start problem rev problem... read and help
ok like the subject says....
1993 del sol D16z6-Turbo... (garrett t25) 7psi
okay cars been turbo for 2 months has no exualst... straight out the turbo with a small downpipe like maybe a foot or so to get the heat away from the engine (going to fix that soon)... recently had a electrical problem... fixed everything had the car running great but this mourning the car wouldnt crank... i just replaced the altenator so i got that checked... while that was off i removed the starter and battery to test those too... weirdly everything turned out fine. when i go to crank the car it does nothing its almost as if the battery is dead but its not because everything in the car is powered perfectly and the SAFC battery voltage reading is 12.4 +or- .3. so as soon as i tried to crank it and it didnt work i push started it... after 3 attempts it crunk and i let it idle about 2 minutes and it cut off on me... it was idling perfect around 800rpm... i push started it again because it wouldnt crank and it idled for 10 mins fine and i decided to take it for a ride around the block... lower rpm of course and it drove good not getting on it but about 50% throttle (safc) it would start to stumble i dont know why but lacked power and stumbled... anyway im mainly worried about why it wont crank does any one know what i should try next ive tried:
altnator, starter, battery, fuses, grounds.
some one told me to check the distributor is there a way to check it with a volt meter or anything i havent checked into it yet. also i unplugged vtec and thats the only CEL im throwing so i pluged vtec up and checked and it still wouldnt do anything... (vtec's unpluged because a performance shop in the area told me its not good to run a z6 on 7psi untuned when it hits vtec rpms? any input?)... any help would be great plz respond asap

im going to check that in the mourning. definatly thanks for the idea tho but i still thought it would try to turn over?... it just does nothing i know when the starters bad it clicks its just like that but no clicking... ne how neone else out there with any ideas.. maybe timing way off? the last thing i did to it was clocked the turbo... btw off subject can u mess up a garrett t25 sr20det turbo by clocking it 180 degrees?
you might wanna check the fuel pump...other than that your motor just might be goin in the ******* from the turbo on stock internals....
yea but i had a fuel problem before and i dont understand how this could be a fuel problem theres no noise at all when i turn the key... hard to explain kinda like trying to start a stick shift with out using the clutch NOTHING happends last time i had a spark or fuel problem it would turn over but not crank... plus i can push start it everytime now and it works fine idles fine. just has that lil stumble in acceleration, i figure pretty much thats the fuel pump biting me in the *** ima get a bigger one soon... could the ecu keep it from doing anything or ignition switch or would those keep me from push starting the car also? i have another vtec ecu i just dont know where it is so i guess ill try to get my hands on that and try it... plus could it be fuse/main relay related? im stumped just asking for ideas
did u try "kick" starting it? Get a buddy to push u down the street at like 5-10 mph and pop the clutch while its in 1st gear.
Hard to know whats really going on without knowing your setup....
What are you doing for fuel management ??? do you have an FMU ? do you have bigger injectors? and what about the map sensor, are you using a missing link ?? etc.. etc...
