h22 build almost complete but I have a ?
My 01 lude will be out of the shop next week my setup is...
head is stock
Block:
darton sleeves
cp 9:1 pistons
eagle rods
Turbo setup:
turbonetics t3/t04e turbo
equal length manifold
spearco fmic
all custom ic piping
Fuel:
rc 370cc injectors
walbro 255lph fuel pump
fpr
V-AFC
My ? is that this a a auto tranny car which i dont have the money to swap a 5 speed right now because my motor blew and the first thing on my priority list to get fixed was the motor... so im dealing with the tranny for now... i was running 8psi on my old setup with the fuel management listed above... I know that its not the best fuel setup to run a lot of boost and im aware the i need bigger injectors to up the psi more... But what kind of engine management would you guys recommend running on this car being it is auto? I dont want to **** up my newly built motor... Im only lookin for a reliable way get to about 300-350whp for now...
thanks for the help

what you have is basically the only thing you can use. those ecu's suck to work with specially with the 01 auto or SH.
AFC, 550cc injectors, FMU, Intank Pump, T3/T4 and i put down 325wHP for 2 1/2 years as a daily driver on a stock motor. Then ran 404wHP for about 3months before taking the motor out and building it.
Stay simple for know and keep the boost under 15psi until your ready to change to Hondata or AEM.
OhYa!! that tranny will last about 1000mile at 300+HP before it starts slipping bad, so i would keep the boost real low and drive it normal til you have the loot to upgrade to 5spd.

Why'd you spend all that money on building the block when you have an auto tranny? That seems backwards to me

I thought the most you could run was 11psi on the hack??

Dude, you won't get anywhere near those boost levels with an auto tranny. I mean you can, but your tranny will be gone faster then the boost will spool
And once you get a 5-speed, you'll want a better ems then greddy. Hondata, Uberdata and AEM are the way to go.
