Default Trans Work

I will be cracking open the trans soon (long story) at this time should I refill with Honda MTF (What I have always used) or something more exotic (MOTUL, Redline, AMSOil, Royal Purple, Castrol, Mobil, ATS, etc, etc)

Thanks.

What work is getting done?

If it's stock, stick with Honda MTF.

street use = MTF is fine.
track/hard use = frequent flushing of MTF or a better fluid.

How's the lifespan on that Motul oil? Is it for "race use" only and needs to be changed frequently, or is it safe to use if for thousands of km between oil changes?

If you live in hotter climates, go with Redline MT-90, in cooler climates go with Redline MTL, which is the approximate weight of Honda MTF.

My buddy just stuck that into his B16 swapped EK. I'll try to get some more feedback from him soon.

That stuff (the non synthetic sychroshift/mesh/etc) is thinner than the honda MTF. I would not use it.

I believe the GM Synchromesh with the Friction Modified additive is all synthetic.
