A button on the dash...

or

One of those coiled cords with a button on the end that can wrap around the column a couple of times.

I am also using that wheel (well a similar one) do you have a link to the LTB hub?

I can't see spending another $200 for the Sparco one

The SPW QR's with the 6/4 bearings have two springloaded contacts. Both sides of the hub have two pigtails that let you wire in the horn. It bolts into the Momo/Sparco hub adapter. It also has another pattern for other brands too.

Not bad - have you used them? Is there any play in the hub? Know any reputable places to order from?

Also do these QR hubs have to meet any safety regulation at all? I see quite a few of them out there... and the off-brand, off-shore produced ebay specials scare me ot think that someone might use that in a track/race car. The horn is for convenience.... but safety first.

I have both an Esses QR and an LTB Hex QR. I used a steering wheel with a hole in the center. I bought a small button from Radio Shack, attached in to a plug and then plugged it to the center hole of the base of the QR.

I just mounted a horn button on the dash.

Smart racing has some sort of adapter plate for the spline quick release to retain the use of the horn button. Unfortunately I have never seen a picture of it or seen one in person.

I do like the 6/4 bearing hubs because you can put the wheel on in any position then spin it until it locks into place (only one position). Also you can retain the horn button. If you go with one of these be careful to get the 6/4 bearing style, some of them are equal space bearings so the wheel can lock on in any position.

I have this exact quick release in both my street car (97 VW GTI) and my race car. I love it, good build quality, no play from the hub to the wheel.
I also have the horn in my GT hooked up and works fine. I just used the supplied hardware with the quick release. It essentially plugs into the stock harness and then the end of it touches the back of my momo horn button. It took me a half hour of fugging around with it to make it work, but it is great to take the wheel of and put it back and have a working horn. definately not a "cheap knockoff" but also not the nicest quick release I have ever seen either. I think it was a good buy for the money.
Good luck

I've been using the spw one for a little less than a year now.. i drive it mostly on auto-x and track so it takes a lot of abuse.. not to mention i always remove the steering wheel when i get to my house.. still doesn't have any play in it.. very solid.

as mentioned, it has posts on top and bottom for horn connection.. i just haven't gotten to installing the horn yet.. i have to buy a horn shoe from honda though.

Why do I need a pump when your mom is riding shotgun?

That is why we have open face helmets....

I find Another Drew's perky horn button on his steering wheel strangely arousing. Was it cold outside when you took the picture?

If the only woman you can get is my mom, while driving a Miata, then I'm going to hell for picking on the most pathetic person on the planet.
