How well dose the color hold up on a Tial wastgate

Default How well dose the color hold up on a Tial wastegate

I have a silver 38mm wastegate but I would like to get a red 44mm just wont to know if the color will fade from the heat.

The frame of the wastegate is annodized, it will not "FADE"...EVER..

Same here, except mine was red and before I sold the car it looked almost orange.

Same story here, I had a black 38mm I sold to a friend and it faded very badly - Turned a crimson color

Exactly, the last 2 I have bought have been silver, saves a little cash at least

Check your local machinist...my guy can send stuff out to be anodized. I'm thinking of having my next intercooler anodized black.

No a kid showed up at my friends shop and he has a red 38mm and it faded I just though it might of faded because he forgot to put the ring in that seals it and drove it for a week. So with all the head from the exhaust going throw there all the time I though that may of caused it to fade.
