Default 1994 Milano Red Integra GS-R - 116k miles. worth looking at?

I saw an ad on the net about a guy selling his GS-R with 116k miles on it or 189k km's. Is this worth looking at? He lives 3hrs away from me. Is there any specific things I should look for if I decide to look at it and potentially buy it?

Thanks

A valve train that is due for adjustment makes a LOT of clicking... My GSR needed it when I picked it up at 66k.

More so, find out if the clutch has been replaced... might be due also. Timing belt...etc.

What is the owner asking for it?

thats pretty cheap here in west canada. I dunno about the states though.
is a valve adjustment something I can do myself? how much does it cost to do at the dealer?

Valve adjustment you can do yourself, it requires some tools. C-Speed's page has a howto.
It will run about 80-125 USD at the dealer.

be prepared to replace a lot of parts on the GSR. they ARE reliable, but they're not invincible

I wouldn't pay more than $5500US for a GSR with that many miles. 3 hours drive for a car..screw it (if you're as lazy as me).

Ive seen a 2000 Civic Hatch with ITR suspension/brakes/wheels go for 11,000CDN before...and that's with 20k miles.

id keep looking man

the thing is that where I live, everyone's got an RS/LS or GS or Type R.. no GS-R's for some reason, i've seen more Type R's than GS-R's. what things would I have to replace?

um..for the short time i had a gsr.. radiator/clutch/synchros wore out($$..i never got around to that one)/brake rotors/paint all faded

dood..don't go out of your way for a gsr; they're not anything special (like the super rare exotic ITR)..

have a mechanic go over it or pull the valve cover. If the head looks stained brown then that usually indicates lengthy periods between oil changes. look for rust, and so a compression check
