The luxury neighborhood + road coarse thing seems to be popular these days. There are plans for one in Atlanta. CMP has plans for homes off the track, etc.
I wonder if the idea will pan out.

from reading the press release that the major funding is expected from pre-sale of expensive memberships (translation=I have a dream and no money) right now it sounds like a pipe dream. But I hope it gets built though.

Except for the Sebring-esque 150 degree hairpin, layout looks good.
Much like the oft-talked about track near Williamsburg, I'll believe it when my car turns a wheel on the pavement.....

I love me some racin' but I love me some quiet neighborhood too. I don't see high end homes and 95db open exhaust co-existing?

It would be cool and a discount for track time because you live there would be great.

Aside from all the potential problems for making this dream come true I sincerly hope they put in some gravel traps or some better run off room at the end of that long straight. All in all I hope it turns into another VIR.

Interstate 85 runs smack through NC. Salisbury is about an hour north of Charlotte in the westernish part of the state. This track would be within two, two and a half hours of VIR, maybe less.

so you could possibly be enlightened by circle track racing.....as far as I knew, this forum included racing of all types.
....and since we're talking about opening 'new' tracks, I thought i would throw it in.
Nick, who anxiously awaits the new Carbotech circletrack pad formula....

What about "Road Racing/Autocross" forum gave you that idea?
Just kidding. I think most of the people here have respect for all types of (legal) wheel to wheel racing.
