Default 5TH GEN. SUSPENSION QUESTION......

I was in the process of lowering my car, with tockico struts and skunk 2 springs.......when i was doing the back suspension both of the bottom bolts (one per side) to hold the struts up broke and we had to heat them up to get the bolt out. now i need new bushings and bolts. where can i get them, i am in college so i am kinda limited on places so any suggestions will help. thanks

i had the same problem with the bushing on the passenger side. the metal sleeve was stuck in it to the bolt, so i had to buy a new bushing from carquest

youll need either a press or a giant c clamp to get that bushing in & out after... it happens alot so dont forget to put some thread grease on it before you reinstall the bolts incase some adjustments needs to be done... its good to change whatever you need now anyway since the suspensions out, and soon youll get youre alignment done so itll be a waste of 60$'s...

Boy oh BOY, i'm glad i'm not the only person who had to go through that. At the time i did it, it was late at night and was pretty far from home at friends house. No part stores open...so I had to reuse the old ones. HAHA there still in there, but that's on my to-do list here in a couple of weeks.
