Default Question about installing Energy Suspension bushing

Hi,
Just talked with a mechanic about installing an Energy Suspension set.
He told me that when putting back the new bushings you need to raise the suspension before closing the bolts. Thats mean that you can't close all the bolt when the suspension hanging on the lift...
Otherwise the bushing will break the first time you drive over a bump...

It it true?

I put in a kit from ES and never had any problems. I never had the car on a lift, just a couple jack stands. I just torqued the bolts while I put it together.

He meant that you need to raise each side of the suspension with a jack and then tighten that bolts.
So that the shock will be in its normal position like when the car is on the ground.

I did mine with the car on jackstands, haven't had any problems and it's been 50,000 miles since then. Just make sure you goop them up good with the lubricant they provide so they don't bind.

You don't have to reset the Energy Suspension bushings because they are not bonded to the sleeves like OEM bushings. They will rotate inside the sleeves instead of binding.
