I decided to wash my motor today. I so regret it. I have a stock air box, no cone or nothing. So I'm at the car wash........I spray the the motor etc. I go to start it up, and she starts up fine. I let it sit for a while warm up and let the vapors explore the air. I then proceed to leave the car wash and I go to hit the gas pedal, hard and the car stalls. She starts right up and idles funny, as if its missfiring. I drove it home about 1/2 a mile made it home. Then drove for another 1 mile. What are my chances of it being hydrolocked. I'm assuming i wet the dizzy. Need some further opinions, Thanks guys.
i am not an expert on this one but, dont think that it is hydro locked. take the air filter out and let it air dry for about 4 hours or a little longer. also after you put the filter back on let it run for about 5-10 mins or so without going anywhere, then take a test drive longer than a mile to see how things are working. next time, get your engine steam cleaned.

For future ref. you most likely got water in your dist. cap. check the gasket or go to the dealer and a new gasket will come with a new cap. BTW WD40 displaces water.

That is exactly what happened to mine. Ran like crap, took off the distributor (in a gas station parking lot.... always carry tools... always!) and like an ounce (SP?) of water came out. Used a rag, dried it all out, put it back on.. and away I went.
For future reference.

i did that once, its probably water got into the spark plug hole. (got passed the spark plug boot). For me, the car ran like crap... stalling, etc. Try taking out the plugs and sun dry it and put it back and try again.
When I'm at the car wash and I need to rinse the engine off, I use the spot free rinse option because it is low pressure, avoiding all the obvious electrical and ignition items...if you keep up with keeping it clean under there regularly, you'll find that is all that you need.
whenever i wash my engine bay, i cover the air filter, even wen i had the stock air box just to be safe, i covered other things as well. in my experience with cleaning the motor, its common that it backfires a little then it stops. 2 cents
I wash my engine every now and then with pressured water never had any problems. just hold it up higher away from the engine if you are scared to **** anything up. so it's not as direct.
Water never got in to my air filter it just rusted two of my air filter box screws so when I went to take them off they broke. Honda designed those air filter boxes stupid. why the **** do you put indents to hold water. It should be smooth so no water get's trapped.
I guess just make sure you cap seal and spark wires are str8
