Default Anyone install a zeitronix wideband with a LS motor???? Need Help!!!!

I just got my Wideband in the mail and have everything spread out checking it out. It says what each colors fuction is but I don't know what I need to hookup and where? I'm "slow" when it comes to wiring around the ECU and I'm color blind "with the blue and purples, and some greens and oranges." If anyone has pics of there setup next to the ECU would be nice or a layout of what color wire on the ZX-2 harness to the ECU outputs. Kinda like how they did on the Resistor box HOW-TO. I can have someone help me with the colors if I can't tell whats what.

Thanks

Sorry for not being of any help, but why does it need to be hacked into the ECU?

ignore that one. I thought you were talking about obd0. I'll get you the right one, hold on.

use the OBD1 wiring diagram.

Why do you want to wire it into the ecu? It wont do anything worthwhile.

If you feed the O2 output into the ecu, it needs to see the same ground as the ecu. That is atleast what is recommended.

Well if I don't hack into the ECU is there a easier way to install the wideband?

I just thought this was the only way. If there is please explain in detail. I don't have VTEC and I'm not running the boost or EGT option.

Also I'm not using the Datalogging part of it. I'm just using the display so I can adjust my A/F.

I know datalogging is nice but I don't have the $ for a laptop right now so I'm just doing the best tuning I can with Uberdata and the wideband.

I think alot of these wires are used for datalogging but might be wrong. All I need to see from this is my AFR. Can I run a + and - to power the display and then wire up the wideband O2 sensor to the factory wiring fo rthe narrowband sensor?

not quite.

the wideband signal will be far different from a stock o2 signal.

doesn't the wideband plug directly into the controller?

yeha it does. I think I might have figured it out thanks to T-RO. He sent me some pics on where what wires go where etc.

The only wires it looks like I won't be using is

white
orange
yellow

Here is what I did from using a picture and using paint for my NON VTEC setup

In the "black" A26 slot the 2-browns and 1-black will go there for ground

I think your under the assumption you can use the wideband to replace your stock narrowband O2 sensor AND use it to monitor your AFR. The only way it can replace your stock O2 is if your wideband controller has a 1v signal output that you would feed into your ECU.

But even then, monitoring your AFR with a stock ECU and no fuel management is going to get you no where by itself. You still need some kind of fuel management.

Are you using uberdata or something?

I could probably help you out later this evening if no one else helps.

I'm using my zeitronix as my only O2 sensor. I'm datalogging (when the computer is hooked up) my stock map, rpm, afr, lambda and tps. I'm feeding my ECU the narrowband output.

It's simple to hook up. You basically tap the wires you want to datalog and I think I just tapped into my stock O2 sensor wire with the narrowband wire.

I'm not sure if my colors are the same though since I'm in an Accord using a Civic (P05) ECU.

probalby a good place to do it, only issue is that most harnesses have same color wires, so make sure you have the right wire from the factory harness.

I"m running Uberdata and the Wideband but I'm just not datalogging right now. I got a pic and figured out what wires go where etc. Take a look at the link above it's from a VTEC ECU but aren't they the same except my Slots for VTEC are empty.

In other words if the B16 Ecu harness is the same as my P75 except they have VTEC wires and I don't then I should be fine. I'm gonna check out hte haynes book to see how they are different.
